It's April, fools!

So I made an unofficial resolution to NOT do Script Frenzy, because I have an incredibly hectic schedule. Guess what I did on March 31st at 10pm? Signed up for Script Frenzy. For those of you who don't know, Script Frenzy is like a younger sibling to NaNoWriMo; but instead of writing a 50,000 word novel in 30 days, your challenge is to write a 100 page script/screenplay/anything that has lines in 30 days. I'm three pages and 4 days in. This is where I hide. I'm going to do my best to finish, (darn stubborn Irish roots) but I'm much less motivated for "Screnzy" than I was for NaNoWriMo, largely because all of my writing in the past has been written in story format, eventually to be a novel, rather than chunk format, to be acted out according to stage directions. But, no matter.

If you happen to follow me on Twitter, you may have noticed my tiny and very not-dramatic "prank..." I stated that I would no longer be working on March, as it was simply too much work. If anyone worried, don't... It's not true. Not that I've gotten any real writing done lately, but I'm still technically "working" on it.. Quotes are due in that some days all I can do is open Scrivener and stare at the words for awhile.

But, all in all, I'm writing.. I guess.

  1. I wanted to do Script Frenzy (I adore screenwriting - dialogue comes naturally for me, so I tend to find scripts easier to write than novels) but I just can't find the time to do it, either. It feels wrong to drop my MS in the middle of edits to write a script. Maybe next year, though! :-)

  2. I'm actually finding it pretty easy- I like that I don't have to come up with a million different ways to say, "she said" in variation.. Now I just have to DO the work. :) Thanks for the comment!
